Holiday farm in Portugal

You can enjoy yourself anywhere, but especially in Portugal.

Luc and Liesbet would like to make you discover this region.

Why?

Very simple: life is pleasant, the people are friendly and uncomplicated and the region is flourishing - literally and figuratively speaking - as one of the main fruit regions of mid-west Portugal.

We would love to welcome you at our Portuguese farmhouse. A charming and quiet location, completely at the end of a small country road:

And although you are nicely secluded and can enjoy the beautiful starry sky at night, you are still close to a beautiful city (10 minutes) and close to the beaches (20 minutes).

On the completely walled grounds is an old farmhouse, completely renovated with all modern comfort for 8 people. There is a cosy courtyard with a nice communal terrace and around it are separate stables.

The garden and orchards invite you to make a walk and the swimming pool (open from June 15°) provides wonderful moments of relaxation.

From May 2023 we can welcome you as one of our first guests. The farmhouse has been completely and authentically restored and can be rented on a weekly basis in high season (June-July-Aug) and for a minimum of 3 nights in lower saison (May-Sept-Oct)

Sloping landscaped garden, with flowers and fruit trees. A nice moment of rest in the middle of the orchards (apples and pears).

We provide bed linen and towels for each guest. Do you want something washed or ironed, just ask our help and we will ensure a worry-free holiday

Swimming pool

Nice and quiet swimming pool - in a quiet corner of the garden. Around the pool are sun terraces with plenty of sun loungers.

Rent one of our E-bikes. We have our own e-bikes and cooperate with a local bicycle rental company. That way you enjoy - in a healthy way - the beautiful landscape on pleasant rides.

Caldas Da Rainha

The nearest town is Caldas Da Rainha. This city owes its popularity to the thermal springs (still active) that were appreciated by the then queen (Rainha) D. Leonor. The daily colorful fruit and vegetable market is a must. In addition, Caldas has a number of beautiful parks and is known for its ceramics. There are some museums, including a ceramics museum.

Bay of Sao Martinho

The bay with its natural shell shape invites you to have fun in the water. Young and old can enjoy themselves on the beach and in the calm water. Stroll along the boulevard, where you can shop, eat good food and enjoy an ice cream. On one side of the bay is the pier and a tunnel to the ocean, on the other side there are wooden platforms with walking paths through the dunes

Berlenga Islands

This archipelago can be reached via boats from the port of Peniche. Very beautiful fauna and flora, and a fortress fortress, between small bays and beaches. Ideal day trip.

Obidos

This medieval fortified town is a Unesco protected 'city of literature'. It is one of the most picturesque and famous landmarks in Portugal. The small alleys invite, the small shops showcase. The city is completely walled and has a large medieval castle as an eye-catcher. Every season there is something to do in Obidos, but especially the knight festivals in the summer are recommended.

Monastery in Alcobaca

This city gets its name from the meeting of the rivers Alcoa and Baca. Most impressive is the Monastery of Santa Maria d'Alcobaca. The imposing size, the purity of the architectural style, the choice of materials and the care with which it was built make it a Gothic masterpiece.

Buddha Eden Gardens

Bacalhoa Buddha Eden is a beautifully situated wine estate, surrounded by a great garden. With an area of no less than 35 hectares, you get to see the world of Buddhism, modern art and visual garden ornaments in a harmonious way. A great day trip for young and old.

Cataplana Marisco

The typical Portuguese food culture usually consists of fish or meat, with potatoes and rice and a salad. On the coast you have numerous fish restaurants with the famous cataplanas and the many dishes with fish, crustaceans and octopus.

Surf waves in Nazare

Nazare, one of the pleasantly busy seaside towns of Portugal. Known for its long beaches with boulevard, with numerous shops and restaurants. And of course the surfing championships with super waves, up to 24 meters high, the highest in Europe.

Eire e Candeiros Natural Park

This natural park with its canyon-like rough cuts has many surprises. Hiking, sporty cycling and enjoying the unspoiled nature.

Wine route Vinho d'oest

This wine route crosses the Bombarral region, Obidos up to Torres Vedras. Several wineries can be visited and the wine museum of Alcobaca is also worth a visit.

Lagoon of Foz Do Orelho

Foz do Orelho is located at the mouth of the Obidos Lagoon. The lagoon is a beautiful nature reserve with fresh water on one side (with numerous water birds, flamingos, aquatic flora…) and flows into the Atlantic Ocean. In between are some beautiful beaches. With very calm water, so also ideal for children. There are several beach pavilions along the beaches for a drink and a snack.

Caves in Porto de Mos

Near Porto De Mos are beautiful underground caves. Be sure to take a tour of the 'Grutas Mira d'aira', where you go up to 110 m deep and are brought back up with a modern lift.

Batalha

The Monastery of Batalha refers to Portugal's rich history. Construction started in the 15th century to commemorate the victory over the Castilians. It is an impressive Dominican monastery, one of the Seven Wonders of Portugal and a World Heritage Site

Peniche

Peniche is one of the most important Portuguese fishing ports for artisanal fishing and has a separate historic center. The beaches of Peniche are a big draw, with Supertubos and Praia de Medao Grande being surfing beaches. The Baleal beach peninsula has beach on both sides left and right with fantastic fine sand.
